“The King of Pop.”

Even if he hadn’t died this week, odds are that you would know exactly who I was speaking of if you heard me say those words; The King of Pop.

Something hit me as I listened to one of the many news reports today.  It went something like this, “The self-proclaimed King of Pop has died.”

Self-proclaimed.  That’s what stuck for me.  It made me think about other performers I’ve heard interviewed, who are also self-proclaimed; Prince of this, Queen of this, or even Elvis, simply the King.

Michael Jackson was the King of Pop.  He believed it.  His fans and others believed it.  Maybe one lesson we can learn from this story is to proclaim yourself.  Proclaim yourself to be the Ruler of Relationships, the Guru of Retail, the Diva of Dance, the Expert on Managing Celebrities, the Professor of In-line Skating.  Whatever your passion is, try to proclaim yourself as the person you desire to be.  You have every right in the universe to do so.

If you read my last post on synchronicity, I wanted to share a quick update. Since then, some of the subjects of those synchronistic moments have dropped off.

And others continue a strong pressence, namely; Tokyo, Lynn Grabhorn and Frank Lloyd Wright architecture.

I shall pay special attention to them, and look for the connectedness and meaning behind these significant coincidences.

Here is a quick and easy exercise.  Do it once.  Do it ten times.  Do it as often as you want, and it will draw you closer to your conscious desires.

In preparation for this exercise, find one object that represents something that could be used in your ideal life.  This is a step that you can do anytime.  Give some thought to what object may be present in the goal you are trying to achieve.

Here are some examples;  Want to marry the partner of your dreams, choose a ring that with eyes closed, will feel like a wedding band.  Want to be a certain size, a piece of clothing in your hands can symbolize that.  Any object will do.  In individual consultations, I can work with a client to pick the best objects to move forward quickly.  Think specific and unique objects here.

Now, Find a quiet peaceful place to sit, someplace that is relaxing and calming for you.  Hold in your hands the object you’ve chosen.  Close your eyes, and imagine you are living that life you desire, that you have that thing you want, that relationship, that career, whatever it is you have decided to focus on.  Let your mind focus on the object and how it relates to your scenario.

Let that object become what it represents.  If you are holding a pen, you’d use in your ideal job, imagine exactly what it would look like.   How would you write with it?  What papers would you sign?  How does it feel in your hands?  The object is a jumping off point for you.  Let it become a symbol of your ideal situation.  As you use your imagination, try to stay in the present.  For these five minutes, you are there as if it’s happening now.

After about five minutes, open you eyes and  remember how it felt to be there in that moment.

Keep the object someplace handy.  Use it to repeat the exercise often.  Change objects for the same scenario to further enhance the power of this exercise.  There are no rules about how often you can do this or where it can lead.  Play with it, until it feels just perfect.

I really started feeling some higher vibrational intensity the last three days.  What do the following have in common?

Toronto, flat panel TV mounts, a lover’s dislike for books, Michigan City Indiana, the color red, Kabbalah, Frank Lloyd Wright architecture, podcasts, Madonna, Patrick Swayze, Lynn Grabhorn’s second book, Ebay, Forex, Garage Band, Sweden, Brazil, Tokyo and Champaign Illinois.

They are all specifics which have had an intense level of coincidence with significance to me, in other words, synchronicity.  Each of these items has come up in some unexpected way multiple times in a matter of days.  I believe synchronicity is a signpost, a measure of following a particular path.

I shall observe and participate in the creation of my journey and continue to watch for more signposts along the way.

As another workshop approaches this weekend, here’s a quick exercise to give you an idea of the topic Eva Liljendahl and I will be covering this weekend, turning the negative into a positive.
The subject of contrast refers to the negative we encounter that contrasts those things and emotions we desire.
There is something good about feeling bad, helping us clarify what we do want to experience for example. Movng through the contrast can result in expansion and growth.
So here is a quick exercise to help you move from the negative to the positive.

Take out a sheet of paper and a pen. On the left side of the paper write down one thing in your life that feels the most unpleasant. In a sentance or two write what the situation is. Be as specific as possible. Beneath the description, write a few words about how you feel.
Once you’ve completed this, go to the bottom of the page and write what the exact opposite of the situaion. Give this part some thought and then write down how it would feel to be experiencing this positive, opposite place. Think about this place for a few minutes. Imagine yourself in this place. How does it feel? How do you feel?  What thoughts come to mind?
There are of course, a host of steps to get you from your current situation to a better place. One way is to look at the page and fill in the space in between with small steps between the negative and the positive. We will be doing something similar to this at our workshop, exploring all of these steps in between.

Try the exercise with a few different situations and see what results.

Yes, there are great movies with uplifting messages.  And yes, there are easily identifiable dark movies that can lower your vibrational energy faster than the bloody corpse that jumps out from the corner of the screen.  Some of it is subjective.  Much of the visual entertainment media falls somewhere in between.

I often advise taking a news holiday.  The stories and images can create a dark sense of reality, and often the news media is stuck in a place of contrast with few stories leading elsewhere.  It can be helpful and uplifting to avoid this negativity.

After watching a few movies lately, I realize that the same can be said of movies, television and much of that sort of media.  Notice the themes and underlying messages of the movies you find yourself watching.  Do they keep you stuck in a place you don’t want to be?  Do they reinforce a negative stereotype of your world?  Even a seemingly bright romantic-comedy can have the underpinnings of a tragedy, or send a message about how difficult life can be.

Watch and notice.  If something feels comfortable but low to you, maybe it is to be avoided.  Follow the path that leads to joy, and that includes which line to choose at the multiplex.

For those checking my blog the past few days. I was just as suprised as you when I couldn’t log in. When I got the “violated terms of service message”, I was confused.
Trying to remain positive, and after 3 emails to wordpress.com, I’m back up. I’m still not sure what triggered the message. But, I’m glad to be bloging again.

By the way, this is the very first blog I have written and posted from my iphone.

We all experience the negative sometimes.

We all delve into this contrast which ultimately directs us towards growth and expansion.  If you are in a place right now that feels low energy, low vibrational, down, or just simply lousy, it’s OK.

Tell yourself, write a note to yourself, and say it out loud, it will be OK.  For ultimately, it will.  You are on the perfect path right now.  Nothing is static.  There is always expansion.  You can move towards a better feeling place.

Say, it will be OK, enough, and you may begin to feel it and see things in your life improve.  Your attitude about those things certainly can.

The dream board process is energizing. It remains a popular tool on the path to having the life you desire.  Below is a sample dream, or vision board.

Robert Davidson created his after a baseball injury forced him to have shoulder surgery.  It’s a great example of one of the techniques he’s using to get back onto the pitcher’s mound.

Click on the picture, and link to one of my posts on the process.  It’s a perfect place to start and create your own.

It is often said that the Law of Attraction is more about the feeling, and less about the “How” or the “To Do” of things.  In other words, it’s less about a list of tasks and actions than it is about feeling.  This doesn’t mean that actions aren’t important.  But, with a focused intent and feeling, the right actions happen naturally.

Another concept to keep in mind is the timing of things.  You can send an intention out into the usinvers, sort of an order for something you desire.  And, that intention and vibration will attract something that matches it.  You want a new job?  Order one up from the universe and have the feeling and belief of it being, and it will come to be.

So, a long time ago, over a year actually, I co-wrote a script, a quirky little piece about an unusual contestant in a back-flip contest.  It was completed and sent out to contests and into the universe.  In a concious sense, you might even say that I forgot about it.  I do feel and have felt it will one day be made, but I’ve not been as clear about the how of it all.

Last night, I checked my email and discovered from the other writer on the project that “Backflip” is on the short-list to win a contest to fund production.  What great news!  I’ll keep you posted
