Waiting for Inspiration to post, I let day by day slip by without a word on this page.  I write in my little back pocket journal, including a few “to-do” lists with items like, blog, left on the lists day after day.

So, today, I am inspired to write. Yet I need no particular inspiration,  I just need to do it to make it happen.   Or more specifically, I just need to think and believe that I will blog, and, ta-da, here is a fresh little post for the page.  Isn’t life that way? you think about doing something day after day sometime and it get’s bigger and bigger, harder and harder to complete.  All the while, the just doing part of it is quite easy.  All it takes is a simple belief in the possibility and potential of doing and being.  So do and be whatever is on your list today.  And don’t make it too difficult for yourself.

For those of you who celebrated the Thanksgiving Holiday, I hope it was a wonderful one for you and not only a time for reflection but a time to look forward.  Sometimes at Holidays, we do such a great job of looking backwards, we forget to look forward.

In the US, the day after Thanksgiving is known as a day of shopping.  This year’s early reports show an increase in sales over last year.  This is despite the doom and gloom reporting leading up to Friday, and the low expectations.  It evidently wasn’t enough of an increase for our mainstream news media though.

Today, I heard almost gleeful reports about how the United States is officially in a recession, and that holiday sales are higher than last year, but not good enough.  I don’t know what “good enough” is.  I have a feeling that “good enough” is not what the media wants to report on anyway.

So, you can look at the gloomy economy and stay focused on it.  Or, you can look to your own path, have confidence that you are only experiencing what you are able to handle, and look towards a bright future for yourself.

May the holiday season find you on a path of peace and prosperity.
